How do I love thee? Let me count the ways….
With this fast approaching season of love, you may be at a loss for things to do together with your sweetheart, your mother or father, or your friends.
We have just the thing.
Winnipeg Whisky Club put together a divine evening of heavenly whisky and cognac paired with decadent chocolates locally and lovingly made by Winnipeg’s Chocolatier Constance Popp.
This event is the last of three in Drams for Fams month. $5 from each ticket will go to Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. $1300 plus raised this month so far!
Back to the whisky. We have even chosen the most lavish of libations to leave you with hearts in your eyes:
- Hibiki Japanese Harmony Japanese Whisky (43% vol.)
2. Tesseron Lot ‘76 Grande Champagne XO Cognac (40% vol.)
3. Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2010 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (50% vol.)
4. The Irishman 17 Year Old Single Sherry Cask Irish Single Malt Whiskey (56% vol)
5. Scotch Malt Whisky Society 01.215 Formidable Chocolate 15 Year old ( 58.7% vol., Glenfarclas, 1st fill Oloroso Sherry hogshead)
For the chocolate pairings, Chocolatier Constance Popp has created a section to pair with each of the fine spirits above. Tell me your mouth isn’t watering already!
In light of Robert Burns Day, Whisky Romance will open with a reading of the Bard of Ayreshire. Then, in between each dram, attendees will be welcome share their brief tasting notes, and are welcome to share short love stories in the spirit of the event.
Whisky Romance will be conducted via zoom, with event package by pickup only(with exceptions) at Mark Kaufmann’s house in St Vital.
This not to miss event is $70 dollars for non members. and $50 for 2021 Winnipeg Whisky Club Enthusiast members. This event, like all Club Nights on the last Wednesday of each month, is fully included for our full-year-dues-paid Elite members.
